Terms

The terms for using gifgif.dev. gifgif.dev is run by Huge Brain Labs, LLC. Last updated 2026-10-04.

Your files stay yours

You keep every right you have in what you upload. You let gifgif.dev store it, process it (resize, re-encode, make previews), and serve it to anyone who has its link, for as long as the link lives.

What not to upload

Files that break these rules are removed, and the tokens that shared them may be disabled. If we close a Pro account for breaking them, its subscription is cancelled and the current period isn't refunded. Report a file with the Report link on its page or at report@gifgif.dev.

Pro

Pro costs $8 a month, plus tax where it applies, billed in advance. It is sold through Link, Stripe's checkout, which is the seller of record: Link charges you, adds sales tax, VAT or GST where it applies, and sends your receipts. It includes what the pricing page lists under Pro today; items marked coming later aren't part of it yet. Its limits are 100 clips a day, 1,000 a month, 5 GB of uploads a day and files up to 500 MB.

Cancel anytime in Manage billing, in your Library. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for and is not charged again. We don't refund unused time, except where the law requires a refund. Link's support can also refund a payment in some cases. If you think you were charged by mistake, write to report@gifgif.dev.

When Pro ends (you cancel, or a payment fails and Stripe's retries run out), your account returns to the free plan's limits and its share pages carry gifgif branding again. Links you made while on Pro are kept for 12 months from the day Pro ended, then removed like other free links, unless you subscribe again.

Price changes are announced by email at least 30 days before they apply to your next renewal.

The service, as it is

gifgif is provided as is, without guarantees of availability or fitness for a purpose. Free-plan limits (clips a day, bytes a day, how long links last) can change; Pro's limits can change only with the same 30 days' notice. Links on the free plan expire, so keep your own copy of anything you need.

To the extent the law allows, Huge Brain Labs, LLC's total liability to you is limited to what you paid for gifgif in the 12 months before the claim. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.

Fair use

Automated use through the CLI, the MCP server and the API is welcome within your plan's limits. Do not try to get around them, for example by creating accounts in bulk. Pro's monthly limit exists so one account cannot cost more than it pays; for more, the heavy-use plan is coming.
